Entry requirements for this course are normally:
- An Honours degree (2:2 or above) or an equivalent professional qualification in a subject related to the study of people; e.g. Human Resource Management/Development (HRM/D), Business Management, Marketing or Business Administration.
- International students should also refer to the University website for minimum English language entry requirements.
Months of entry
The overall aim of the course is to develop you as a Human Resource Manager in an international context and improve the quality of your professional knowledge, behaviour and values.
This course offers you a relevant blend of HR related topics; including a general introduction to the major aspects of HR, and related international issues such as managing diversity and inclusiveness, HR strategy and inter-cultural management. Specific modules include Managing People in Organisations, International Business Environment, HR Strategy, Research Methods and a dissertation.
You are encouraged to develop critical reflection and a range of skills and techniques specific to International Human Resource Management. The course will focus on the development of relevant personal and interpersonal skills, in preparation for a future professional career in people management in a global dynamic context.
Our innovative teaching methods include extensive case work in addition to seminars, tutorials and lectures. We encourage students to be highly independent learners. Modules can be based on individual work or group work, and all teaching and assessment is grounded in real life situations or live projects. We incorporate guest speakers and the development of your professional management skills is also a priority.
Fees and funding
In 2018/19 the full-time tuition fee for UK and EU postgraduate students on this course will be £6,500.
