Entry requirements

Entry requirements for this course are normally:

  • An Honours degree (2:2 or above) or certificate in Personnel, HR or Training Practice. Ideally more than two years' relevant HR experience.
  • Applicants with a significant amount of HR experience but no formal qualifications may also be considered.

If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent. This course enhances your career development within the ‘people profession’ and has been approved by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the UK’s HRM accrediting body, to prepare you for the Advanced level standards of the CIPD new profession map and to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue Chartered Membership of CIPD. On this course you will develop knowledge and practical skills across a broad range of topics leading to Associate Membership of the CIPD. After graduating, with relevant work experience you can apply to upgrade your membership to Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow.
