This specialist postgraduate course was designed in response to the demands presented by the government’s Careers Strategy in relation to the role of careers leaders in schools and colleges. The course offers named Career Leaders in schools or colleges who already hold an honours degree the opportunity to enhance and develop their current knowledge, behaviours and skills that they need to succeed in their role.
As a student on the course, you’ll extend your knowledge and understanding of the theories underpinning careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG). During the courses you’ll critically reflect on current theories and apply these to your own experience and professional setting. You’ll have the opportunity to develop both specialist and transferrable skills, building on your experience and specifically focusing on leadership, management and the organisation of professional practice.
