Entry requirements for this course are normally:

  • A good Honours degree in Law, a related degree or equivalent.
  • If your first degree is not in Law you will be required to take the 'Introduction to Law' module.
  • If your first language is not English an IELTS score of 6.5 is required. Students with a score of 5.5 may enrol after successful completion of the University’s pre-sessional course.

Have you been intrigued by recent crisis in the international banking sector? As a professional in the financial markets, are you interested in learning about how the system is regulated? The regulation of the financial system is a complex yet fascinating subject.

The LLM in Law with Finance offers a unique opportunity for lawyers to achieve a qualification that demonstrates their ability to understand financial regulation. Regulation of the financial system is changing everyday.Lawyers with a financial background will be needed to explain what it all means and how it works.

The University of Huddersfield is one of a few universities offering this course.

The new home for the University’s Law School is the Oastler Building in tribute to Richard Oastler (1789–1861). It’s a modern and dynamic facility and provides you with a professional environment in which to learn and develop.

Fees and funding

In 2018/19 the full-time tuition fee for UK and EU postgraduate students on this course will be £6,500.
