Entry requirements
A minimum of 2:2 Honours degree or international equivalent is required. This programme provides a further specialisation in the subject area and, therefore, requires that you have a good understanding and command of mathematics and statistics (arithmetic, algebra, and terminologies such as standard deviation, expected value, probability, regression and similar).

Course content
Our MSc will help you become a technically competent financial practitioner, able to understand and, where necessary, challenge the principles on which financial firms and markets operate. This course is part of the CFA Institute as a University Affiliation Program.
This specialist programme is distinctive in its focus on finance and investment, with content including portfolio and fund management, treasury functions and financial investment and with an emphasis on financial instruments and markets. You will gain technical capabilities in particular quantitative skills, increasingly important for a career in finance or investment.
This distinctive programme imparts an appreciation and understanding of the risks presented by the financial and investment decision making of firms, as well as an understanding of the important role that financial markets and investors play in corporate governance. It includes a discussion of socially responsible investment.
Information for international students
If you require a Tier 4 student visa to study or if your first language is not English you will be required to provide acceptable evidence of your English language proficiency level.
This course requires academic IELTS 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each skill.
Fees and funding
UK and EU students can take out a Master’s Loan to help with tuition fees and living costs. They provide up to £11,222 for full-time and part-time taught and research Masters courses in all subject areas.
