Entry requirements

Applicants will normally be expected to have a good honours degree or equivalent professional qualification. All entrants have at least 3 years' relevant work experience. Applicants must also satisfy the Business School interview requirement and the University's English language requirement.

Prepared for global business
International and cross-sector cohorts provide wide ranging opportunities for learning. Our full-time MBA students can take part in a visit to a partner business school overseas, while our Executive MBA students may take a module in an overseas location.

Work-based elements provide learning and organisational benefits, for example a company-based project which addresses real issues and adds significant value to an organisation as well as to the participant's management development.Our engagement with international businesses, including our corporate partners, adds to firsthand interaction with organisations and business leaders throughout the programme.

Long-term development
Upon successful completion of the MBA, participants will gain CIPD at Licentiate level and automatically be awarded the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership. You'll be able to apply for Chartered Manager Status which is the highest status that can be achieved in a managerial profession.

Programme structure
The Hull MBA consists of taught modules and the Dissertation. The first semester runs until December and the second from January until May. The summer period is then spent working on the MBA dissertation.
The programme develops critical thinking skills grounded in students' existing familiarity with the operational and strategic concerns across an enterprise, with the aim of producing well-rounded and effective managers with the capability to fulfil their personal objectives. This rigorous and stretching programme balances thorough coverage of fundamental management principles with exposure to innovative and challenging ideas.

Information for international students

Competence in English language is required, evidenced by IELTS 6.5 overall and at least 5.5 in each skill, or equivalent, or previous study in English. Candidates who do not meet the language requirements may take an English course at the University.
