Entry requirements

You should have, or expect to obtain, a 2:1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or science related subject. Applicants must have studied mathematics at level 4 or higher.

Course content

This programme integrates important, current and employer relevant themes and enables students to acquire knowledge and skills across a wide range of appropriate topics for Petroleum, Oil and Gas technology, with an emphasis upon Chemical Engineering applications.

This MSc is taught by a mixture of lectures, practical experiments and design projects supported by problem classes and tutorials. Laboratory-based work is an important part of the programme and takes a number of forms, from experimental investigation carried out individually in a short period of time, to extended group project work in which teamwork, project management and communication skills are as important as technical proficiency.

Information for international students

Competence in English language is required, as evidenced by IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each skill) or equivalent, or previous study in English.
