Course content

This programme prepares you for a career as an educator in professional practice.

It has been developed in response to demand from our local NHS trust and private healthcare providers. It uses the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for learning and assessment as its framework.

You will develop your skills and knowledge so that you can facilitate and coordinate learning activities in practice settings with other like-minded professionals from a range of healthcare backgrounds. You can also develop your career as a leader of education environments. The programme can be the first step towards a PG Dip or MSc in Education and Leadership.

Students will usually have prior experience as a mentor or assessor, as well as evidence of academic study within the past five years. However, all application will be considered on individual merit.

Information for international students

If you require a Tier 4 student visa to study or if your first language is not English you will be required to provide acceptable evidence of your English language proficiency level.
