International business law is a fast-changing and complex area and we ensure that students receive a systematic, rigorous and exciting legal education.
Law has been taught at the University since it was established in 1927 and we are highly regarded both within academia and the legal profession. Staff in the school are at the forefront of research, scholarship and teaching and the LLM programme offers a wide range of options informed, developed and taught by experts in their respective fields. The course covers global, European and domestic business affairs and the interaction between the different levels of jurisdiction.
Students undertaking this taught masters programme will make great advancements on their existing skills and knowledge. By the end of the programme they will be equipped to thrive in one of the most important and fast-moving sectors in the world.
The standard course begins in September each year and lasts twelve months. There are two trimesters of taught modules, followed by an individual dissertation project in the third trimester, which is supervised by a member of staff within the department.
Overall, students gain a wide range of transferable skills applicable to practical legal experience or further academic study.
