Entry requirements

To be eligible for admission to our LLM, you must hold a UK undergraduate degree or international equivalent. We recommend that non-law graduates have a basic grounding in common law. Qualifications will be checked before the LLM is awarded. Course content

Our Master of Laws programmes provide an excellent way to develop in-depth knowledge and specialist skills you need to make you stand out in a competitive job market. We have designed two online courses in the key areas of Conflict Resolution or Intellectual Property. Each programme will allow you to demonstrate your expert specialist knowledge to potential employers through your own dissertation on a specific area of current legal practice.

Choose from two online Master of Laws programmes:

  • Online LLM in Legal Practice (Conflict Resolution)
  • Online LLM in Legal Practice (Intellectual Property)

Each programme will deliver a Masters-level insight into the different aspects of your chosen specialist area, combining online modules, research methods and related commercial topics. By studying one of our LLMs, you will be able to demonstrate your expert specialist knowledge to potential employers through your own dissertation on a specific area of current legal practice.

LLM in Legal Practice (Conflict Resolution)

Compulsory modules:

  • International Arbitration Practice
  • Professional Practice Research Methods

Choose two of the following optional modules:

  • International Intellectual Property Practice
  • International Commercial Law and Practice
  • International Competition/Anti-trust Law and Practice
  • International Joint Ventures
