Entry requirements

A Medical degree (eg MBChB) and Employment as a junior psychiatrist in an NHS training post in the area covered by the Yorkshire Deanery (West and North Yorkshire, and Humber). Applicants are required to be medical practioners and, for the duration of the course, to hold posts in psychiatry, apporved for this purpose by the Yorkshire and the Humber Postgraduate Deanery.

Course content

The four year part-time degree programme runs over two semesters each academic year (2 x 12 weeks). Attendance is for one day each week. The programme is designed for trainee psychiatrists who are working in a clinical training post in the National Health Service and working towards the professional examination for Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Information for international students

IELTS as for practicing medicine in the UK are required.
