Normally a 2:1 honours degree or equivalent, but relevant experience may be taken into consideration.
Months of entry
Research projects underway include investigations of the charge transport mechanisms of membrane proteins, applications of synthetic membranes tethered to electrode surfaces (solid-supported bilayers), and development of reagentless electrochemical biosensors. Work is also ongoing on the development of libraries of synthetic binding proteins, including DARPINS, for use in biosensor development and clinical diagnosis.
