Entry requirements

A minimum of a UK second-class honours degree (2:2), or equivalent, in civil engineering or a related discipline or at least five years’ senior managerial level experience in concrete plant and concrete constructions that can be verified independently.

Course content

This distance learning Masters course is designed to provide you with advanced, in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of topics in the field of concrete technology.

During this course you will gain academic and industrial expertise, giving you advanced knowledge of concrete technology, both in terms of theory and practical application.

If you undertake the MSc you will have an opportunity to carry out independent research on a contemporary topic that is relevant to the construction industry. This will enable you to use your scientific knowledge and understanding gained during the taught modules and apply them to a more contextual situation and present the outcome of the research in a comprehensive technical report, a skill that is uniquely required in a competitive world.

This course aims to develop the next generation of senior construction professionals working in concrete production, construction and design. By the end, you will have the skills and knowledge to progress your career to a senior level in the industry.
