Course content

Our PGCE courses help you focus on developing the necessaey skills, knowledge and understanding to become and effective and inspiring teacher. We offer University-led secondary PGCEs in Biology, Chemistry, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Modern Foreign Languages and Physics.

This is a one year course for graduates wishing to follow a course of Initial Teacher Education (ITE). Our PGCE courses help you focus on developing the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding relating to learning and teaching in schools. It includes a range of academic tuition and teaching experience, all of which is considered both in assessment for the PGCE, and as evidence that you have met the Standards for the Award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
