Research Degree candidates normally hold a first-class or second-class honours degree in a subject relevant to their proposed field of reseach. Candidates whose first language is not English must provide evidence that their English language is sufficient to meet the specific demands of their study.
Months of entry
Applicants for research are welcomed in all areas of English language and literature. Every student in their first year required to take the school's Research Methods Course and to attend the university's workshops for new research students.
