Entry requirements

Applications are welcomed from the current BA honours students who wish to pursue the subject in greater depth or fro artists/graduates who wish to refocus their ideas after a period of absence from education. Enqurires are invited from students who already hold a 2.1 or equivalent professional experience in a relevant subject area. A portfolio of recent work and summary of personal practise interests (100 words max.) must be submitted with your application form.

Course content

The MFA is a new, two year programme of full-time study designed to equip students with the advanced skills and understanding needed for the development of a critically informed, professional fine art practice. Through an 18 month programme that is studio-led and critically underpinned, the course will provide the resources and learning contexts necessary for students to assess and evaluate key discourses in contemporary art. The core teaching team will encourage and facilitate the development of students' potential as professional artists by offering expert guidance on the research, production, studio analysis and public presentation of each individual's work.
