PhD: a BA and MA or exceptional cases, a BA with first class; MPhil/MA: BA with equivalent of 2:1.
Months of entry
Supervision is available in Arabic language and linguistics, Arabic in relation to the Semitic language, Arabic dialectology, teaching in foreign languages, Arabic literature (classical and modern), translation theory, Middle Eastern history and politics, Maltese studies. Joint supervision with other departments can be arranged.
