A degree with first or 2nd-class honours in Biological Sciences or a related scientific discipline, or an equivalent qualification; also, non-graduates with several years' appropriate industrial experience. Overseas applicants will be required to demonstrate their level of proficiency in the English language.
Months of entry
To enable biological sciences graduates to acquire bioinformatics skills for a career in the post-genomics era. The course comprises taught modules and guided research, and culminates in a four-month project placement in industry, research institute or university research laboratory.
The course is hosted in the internationally renowned School of Biological Sciences, famous amongst other things for discovering DNA fingerprinting rated Excellent in research (RAE 5*/5) and teaching.
