Course content

Academic staff in the Department of History of Art and Film have research strengths in a number of key areas, including:

  • Medieval and Tudor art, sculpture and architecture
  • Italian art and compositional theory from the Early Renaissance through to the Baroque
  • 18th and 19th century historicism, heritage and conservation
  • 20th century through to contemporary art, photography and sculpture
