Course content

The department of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation is a research-led department engaged in internationally competitive research. The department brings together basic and clinical scientists with established strengths in microbial sciences, respiratory diseases, kidney diseases and immunology.

50 academic staff, 10 post-Doctoral research fellows, about 60 graduate students and 20 support staff. Programme of short laboratory skills courses plus specialist seminars provided for postgraduate students.

The department is well funded from a range of sources including the MRC, BBSRC, The Wellcome Trust, the European Commission, UK charities, NIHR, The Royal Society, EMDA and Industry.
