Entry requirements

First or second class degree. You must be able to demonstrate an engagement with - or commitment to - museums, galleries or heritage organisations. It also helps if you can provide evidence of relevant experience in the museum, gallery or heritage sector or appropriate transferable skills. We will consider applications from candidates without a degree who are able to demonstrate significant relevant work experience such as research skills, professional publication or senior management responsibilities.

Course content

This degree will provide you with the practical and theoretical experience needed to become a creative and effective museum and gallery professional or to further advance your career.

You will be taught by experts in the field, who have been involved in expanding the academic discipline of museum studies over many years. The course will equip you with a thorough knowledge and critical understanding of current principles, practice, and contemporary debates in Museum Studies.

Information for international students

English language support. Very mixed international student group. IELTS 6.5 or equivalent is required if English is not your first language.
