Normally qualified teachers working in primary, special or secondary schools in the United Kingdom, preferably with at least one year of teaching experience.
Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Studies consisting of one 60-credit module.

Course contentCurrent programme includes a choice of curriculum-focused, special needs or leadership and management options. Teaching is through lectures and seminars, supported by directed reading, independent school-based research, private study and use of University's Virtual Learning Environment. Assessment uses a mixture of essays, portfolios and presentations.
Fees and fundingFor teachers with QTS, fee is subsidised by TDA. Remainder of fee may be from school, local authority or self-funded.
