Primary degree in a relevant engineering, science or technology discipline. Applications from graduates from other disciplines who have a significant mathematics or computing element in their primary degree will also be considered.

Semester 1
Digital Electronics 1, C++ Programming, Software Engineering, Computer Networks 1.
Semester 2- Digital Systems 4, Real Time Systems , Computer Networks 2, Distributed Systems.
Year 2: Masters Programme.
Semester 3- Elective 1, Elective 2, Project 1, Electives: Digital Signal Processing, Information Theory & Coding, Advanced Digital System Design.
Semester 4- Elective 3, Elective 4, Project 2, Electives: Processor Architecture, Digital Control, Digital Communications, Adavanced Topic Seminars

Fees and funding
The University of Limerick is offering 10 taught postgraduate scholarships to potential applicants for the 2014/15 academic year. The value of each scholarship is €2,000. The successful candidates will receive the scholarship in the form of a reduced fee.
