Entry requirements

A primary degree with a first or second class honours (or equivalent) and demonstrable musical experience or an equivalent capability based on significant and substantial prior experience Applicants must have at least Grade 4 Music Theory (Associated Boards of the Royal Schools of Music) standard or equivalent.

The programme includes the following modules: Acoustics and Psychoacoustics, MIDI and Computer Programming, Sound Synthesis and Manipulation, Electronic Arts, Programming Music Systems,Computer Systems and Models in Music, Audio Technology and Production Techniques, Research Project

Information for international students

Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of either prior successful completion of a degree qualification taught through the medium of English or meet one of the Universities English Language Requirements. Fees and funding

The University of Limerick is offering 10 taught postgraduate scholarships to potential applicants for the 2014/15 academic year. The value of each scholarship is €2,000. The successful candidates will receive the scholarship in the form of a reduced fee. The Scholarships will be allocated by the faculties on the basis of financial need and personal statement from the applicants.
