Normally a primary degree (Level 8 - National Qualifications Authority of Ireland) with first or second class honours or an approved professional qualification. At least four years' experience at managerial level is also required. In the case of candidates without an honours degree, five years' experience will be required. In addition, an acceptable score in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and an interview with the course selection panel are prerequisites for entry to the programme.

Corporate strategy analysis, information systems and knowledge management, relationship marketing, strategic human resource management, implementing strategy, strategic leadership, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship, managing projects and operations.
Students will undertake elective modules during two summer schools. One elective per summer school will be chosen from the following: international finance, taxation, strategic sales ,management, corporate social responsibility & sustainable enterprise, human resource development, corporate & commercial law, technology management.

Fees and funding
The University of Limerick is offering 10 taught postgraduate scholarships to potential applicants for the 2014/15 academic year. The value of each scholarship is €2,000. The successful candidates will receive the scholarship in the form of a reduced fee.
