Course content

The Fashion Management MSc combines generic business and management modules with specialist modules in the fashion industry and fashion buying and merchandising, design and manufacturing, and marketing and brands.

The programme is taught by a team of international academics. In addition, the course will benefit from guest speakers, who are professionals in well-known and innovative organisations.

Students can choose between a dissertation, consultancy project, and a start-up venture to either enhance research skills or gain more practical experience.

There will be an opportunity for students to apply for a short, two-week placement between the first and second semesters in order to gain some work experience within the UK.

Students will also gain access to a set of exclusive career events that help to build a CV, deal with psychometric tests, and formulate effective applications.

The programme brings together the areas of management, marketing and fashion to equip students for careers in fashion management.

The generic management modules provide students with an understanding of how to work in teams and how to obtain, interpret, and use financial information for managing budgets.

The marketing modules in branding and digital marketing equip students with knowledge and skills to build brands and run promotional campaigns. Students also undertake modules that map out the different sectors of the fashion industry with a focus on buying and merchandising.

The taught element of the programme consists of seven compulsory modules and one optional module.
