Course content

The MA Conservation of Historic Objects is a hands-on programme that enables you to develop a wide range of advanced practical conservation and restoration skills.

Different types of historic materials are examined and you can choose to focus on preventive treatment, preventive conservation or collections management. The programme provides you with key theoretical skills and an awareness of management and research.

The coursehas strong links with local, regional and national museums, professional bodies and agencies in the heritage field. International links enhance opportunities for placement and study abroad.
