Course content

This programme offers a professional education in journalism, equipping graduates for careers in the sports media. It gives an academic analysis of a range of critical approaches to the subject.

The MA Sports Journalism enables you to develop a range of skills. You will receive tuition from industry professionals and have the opportunity to report live from sports events and to build contacts in the sports media industry.

Hands-on experience is available at Siren FM, the UK’s first community radio station based at a university. It has a full-time licence from Ofcom and broadcasts around 60 hours of locally produced material each week. The School has a unique relationship with Lincoln’s award-winning local newspaper, the Lincolnshire Echo, which is based next to the campus.
