Course content

As a researcher in the School, you will have access to and collaborate with, research-active academics working on high-profile studies and projects.

The School is undertaking research into animal and plant biology at the cellular, organism and population levels in order to answer fundamental questions on evolution and lifetime development. Animal species studied include a wide range of both invertebrates and vertebrates.

Opportunities for research at MScRes, MPhil and PhD levels exist in a broad range of biology-related areas. Research programmes rely on our independent study and research, supervised by an advisory panel of academic staff. You will benefit from training courses provided by the University to develop key skills in research.
