Entry requirements

A minimum 2:1 honours degree in Sport, Exercise and/or Coaching Science or a related subject would normally be expected for entry to postgraduate research study. However, all applications are considered on an individual basis of their work and other life experiences through the University's Accreditation of Prior Experience Learning procedures.

Course content

The active research base in the School ensures that staff are involved in current debates and that students are made aware of new developments and issues in the field of sports development.

Research is an essential component of the School’s activity and it is committed to maintaining an infrastructure and intellectually stimulating environment that supports the development of the next generation of researchers. Applications for postgraduate research are welcome across the diverse sport, exercise and health disciplines in which the School’s academic staff specialise.
