Course content

Cultural industries play a vital role in modern societies. Bringing together perspectives from media and cultural studies with business studies, this programme combines critical understanding of the cultural industries with the development of key business skills. Modules examine the structures, organization and operations of the cultural industries together with cultural policy frameworks and the unique professional roles and practices characterizing cultural work. These studies are conducted in conjunction with modules concentrating on project management, creative problem solving, finance and accounting, marketing, and innovation management. By advancing this range of knowledge and skills, the programme addresses the conditions, working practices, and challenges which define cultural industries and shape the work of cultural practitioners.
