Course content

The MA (by Research) programme enables students to conduct in-depth research into a science or social science focused aspect of geography. The creation of a major supervised research thesis forms the basis of the programme, but students may also elect to undertake optional taught modules related to their research.

The MSc (by Research) programme enables students to conduct in-depth research into a science or social science focussed aspect of geography. The creation of a major supervised research thesis forms the basis of the programme, but students may also elect to undertake optional taught modules related to their research.

The MRes programme enables students to conduct in-depth research into a science, technological or social science focussed aspect of geography. The creation of a major supervised thesis underpins the programme, but students also have the opportunity to develop generic research training skills by registering on prescribed taught courses run either by the School of Geography or the Graduate School.
