Entry requirements

Course requirements - 2.1 honour degree or above (Upper 2nd class hons degree and above or international equivalent).

In a relevant discipline - Geomatics, Geosciences, Geography, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Built Environment, Construction Management, Surveying, computer science or closely related degrees.

Other requirements - Applicants should have ‘A’ level mathematics or equivalent.

Course content

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a growing technology used in the building industry worldwide. It uses digital techniques and intelligent 3D models to inform building project decisions.

This programme is a collaboration between Department of Architecture and Built Environment and Civil Engineering. In particular, research and teaching support will be provided by two leading research laboratories including Geospatial BIM lab and Digital City Infrastructure and technology Innovation Laboratory (D-CiTi Lab).

You will be able to learn to use and operate a wide variety of state-of-the-art software, as well as surveying equipment, including servo driven total stations, laser scanners, GNSS, digital and analogue photogrammetry.
