WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?

This PgCert Creative Professional Development course develops your skills in professional behaviours, enterprise and leadership. It enhances your employability and provides a route to further study.

This is an online course, so you can study flexibly around other commitments. You can still use our on-campus workshops and other facilities and attend the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries guest lecture and events programme.

The course is open to University of Portsmouth graduates only. Substantial bursaries are available if you are unemployed.

The Induction week for the course is January 8th 2018 and Unit 1 starts on the week beginning 15 January 2018. As this is an distance learning course, the induction week will also be online.

STRUCTURE & TEACHING

The course is taught online. You can also attend additional events on campus and use our extensive range of studios, workshops and other facilities. The online material includes webinars and tutorials.

You will study units on leadership and working in the creative industries, build your portfolio and enhance your professional practice. The course also gives you an insight into postgraduate study and looks at how you can do further postgraduate study and research.

CAREER PROSPECTS

This course provides a solid grounding in leadership skills, while developing your portfolio, CV and knowledge of working in freelance, self-employed and employed roles.
