Entry requirements

Prerequisites: Bachelor degree in same discipline with a GPA of at least 4.50 on 7 point scale & 2 years full-time work experience in same discipline approved by Exec Dean; OR Bachelor degree with GPA 4.50 on 7 point scale & 5 years full-time work experience in same discipline approved by Exec Dean; OR GCPM from UQ or equivalent with a GPA 4.50 on a 7 point scale. Field of Study: For students who have previously undertaken studies in business or commerce, entry will only be considered for a field not already studied. Additional application requirements: The following supporting documentation is required for all applications. Please ensure that you have included ALL required documentation when you submit your application. Official transcripts of previous studies: Evidence of work experience in the form of a CV. Please ensure that your CV includes your full work history, and outlines the major activities you undertake on a daily basis (if you are applying obo work experience). Evidence of residency status. Course content

Project management skills can be applied across many industry sectors. The Master of Project Management is aimed at professionals who want to develop their skills in this area and gain a high-level qualification.

You will learn how to organise and manage resources in such a way as to deliver the work required within the defined scope, time, cost and quality constraints and within acceptable levels of risk. You will understand the principles and applications of project management in asset and operations mode.

The program is based on the nine core knowledge areas of the international institutes of project management. In addition you can choose courses from a specialist area including Engineering or Property Studies or a combination of elective courses.

Students also have the option to undertake an industry mentored research project.

Indicative annual fee: AUD$ 33280

Indicative annual fees are calculated on the basis of two full-time semesters only. Actual annual fees may vary in accordance with your choices of majors and electives and whether you study in Summer Semester. Tuition fees are indexed each year. The indexation rate is fixed 18 months in advance of a particular academic year thereby allowing you to plan your finances ahead of time. The University's intent is that fee rate increases will be kept to a minimum and that indexation rates will remain stable wherever possible. Since 2007 the indexation rate has remained at or less than 4%.
