Entry requirements

Prerequisites: Bachelor degree or equivalent in the same discipline as approved by the Executive Dean with a GPA of at least 5.00 on a 7 point scale and one year full-time work experience in the same discipline as approved by the Executive Dean; OR Bachelor degree or equivalent with a GPA of at least 5.00 on a 7 point scale and three years full-time work experience in the same discipline as approved by the Executive Dean. Please ensure that you have included ALL required documentation when you submit your application. Official transcripts of previous studies: Evidence of work experience in the form of a CV. Please ensure that your CV includes your full work history, and outlines the major activities you undertake on a daily basis. Work reference letter from your employer outlining your key duties and responsibilities. Evidence of residency status. Course content

The Master of Tourism Leadership prepares graduates with experience working in the tourism, hospitality and events industries for international leadership, research and consultancy positions.

This internationally recognised program will strengthen your leadership capacity and provide you with the skills to sustainably manage products, resources and facilities. You will also develop the research and analytical skills necessary for further academic study.

In addition to building your core knowledge, you can choose to specialise in the fields of service management, tourism development, tourism marketing or visitor management. The program allows you to tackle real-life issues put forward by industry professionals and complete a research or consultancy project.

Indicative annual fee: AUD$ 33280

Indicative annual fees are calculated on the basis of two full-time semesters only. Actual annual fees may vary in accordance with your choices of majors and electives and whether you study in Summer Semester. Tuition fees are indexed each year. The indexation rate is fixed 18 months in advance of a particular academic year thereby allowing you to plan your finances ahead of time. The University's intent is that fee rate increases will be kept to a minimum and that indexation rates will remain stable wherever possible. Since 2007 the indexation rate has remained at or less than 4%.
