Course content

The Digital Innovation pathway will equip you with the knowledge, skills and tools to lead, manage, develop, and implement innovation digital business solutions. The practical emphasis of our courses has been recognised by BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT), and stems from our research-informed and practice-orientated approach to information management, integrating business strategy and technology solutions.

You will learn to develop a strategic approach and apply appropriate theories and models to create new business value, by exploring how digital technology innovations and leadership can be harnessed to strategically organise and lead people and technology in a digital environment. Upon graduating, you will be equipped for a variety of roles in the digital economy including business analysis, digital marketing, service development, strategic data analysis and consulting roles.

Each pathway of our MSc Information Management and Digital Business is designed to give a rigorous academic understanding of real-life and current business issues. Graduates of the Digital Information pathway will be equipped to identify and pioneer new strategic digital business opportunities from inception through the application of existing and new cutting edge technologies and innovations. A number of our students go on to join our PhD programmes each year.
