Entry requirements

Applicants are normally required to have a good undergraduate Honours degree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK). If you have other qualifications and a number of years’ relevant work experience then you may also be eligible to apply.

Course content

This course will prepare you for a career in the rural property and business industries at the highest level. It will enable you to understand the economic, technological, legal and social concepts and principles that underlie the practice of management in the countryside. It will also help you to develop a critical awareness of current problems and new insights at the forefront of the discipline. You will be given the opportunity to develop originality in the application of knowledge through the exercise of initiative, sound judgement, and the ability to make decisions in complex and unpredictable situations. Modules include: Introduction to Property Studies; Management Case Studies in Rural Surveying; Property and Business Taxation; Rural Policy and Planning; Business Management.

Information for international students

Evidence of English Language ability required. Normal requirements are: • an overall score of 7.0 in the International English Language Test Score (IELTS) with no individual element scoring less than 6.0 or • an overall score of 6.5 in the IELTS with no individual element scoring less than 5.5
