Entry requirements

Entry requirement for the programme is a minimum second class degree in an associated subject (e.g. Psychology, Social Sciences), and/or, relevant professional qualification (e.g. clinical psychology, teaching, social work) together with a minimum of 3 years experience. In exceptional circumstances non traditional applicants with atypical educational histories may write an essay or complete another task set by the Coordinator. Applicants from overseas for whom English is not their first language must comply with the University's minimum requirement for Masters Degrees for proficiency in the English language. This is currently British Council IELTS at band 6.5 with no less than 6 in each band of the test.

Course content

This pioneering course provides students with a specific qualification in the assessment of child and adult attachment, parenting and family functioning. It is designed for health and social care professionals, who wish to broaden their skills in assessing attachment, improve the outcome of interventions and want to conduct small or large scale research projects.
