Entry requirements

Normally a minimum 2:2 honours degree or equivalent or successful completion of the Graduate Certificate.

A wide range of professional qualifications are also accepted either in partial or complete fulfilment of entry requirements.

Where a student has gained a recognised honours degree but does not meet the normal entry qualification requirement, they may still be considered for entry if they can demonstrate relevant work experience of a minimum two years duration post study and acceptable level of responsibility.

Industry 4.0 is where new technologies support industry to increase productivity. This emerging relationship has created interconnected manufacturing systems that can communicate, analyse data and make decisions without the need for human involvement.

MSc Leadership for Industry 4.0 is designed to help build a new generation of leaders who can take the opportunities and mitigate the challenges that come with the fourth industrial revolution. If you have a background in computing, business or manufacturing, this part-time master’s degree gives you the opportunity to explore the latest technological advancements and learn the strategic skills to lead in a changing environment.

Course details

MSc Leadership for Industry 4.0 is specifically designed for practitioners aspiring to work within the new concept of Industry 4.0. The programme exposes students to a variety of technical, operational and functional management concepts and practices. The course is a cross-department programme, enabling students to gain a greater appreciation of the technical, operational, functional and global aspects of Industry 4.0.

The programme is delivered part-time over two years, with students required to attend lectures, seminars or workshops one day or two days per week. During periods of independent study, students will receive online support through the University’s virtual learning environment, Blackboard.
