Entry requirements

Relevant undergraduate degree, normally at 2:1 or above, and supporting portfolio of practice. Applicants with an undergraduate degree of 2:2 will be considered where a high quality portfolio of practice is presented. Applicants will be able to demonstrate that they: have expertise in fashion or related subjects are highly motivated are ready to work flexibly and independently. Applicants applying to the MA Fashion Innovation: Communication will be asked to provide a proposal of study in relationship to the award to which they apply. Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) We welcome applications from students who may not have formal/traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully. The Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) process could help you to make your work and life experience count. The APL process can be used for entry onto courses or to give you exemptions from parts of your course. Two forms of APL may be used for entry: the Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) or the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).

Course Summary

On this course, you will develop a professional knowledge of visual and other methods of fashion communication, across a range of media.

Due in large part to the reputation and expertise of our staff, the course is highly regarded in industry. Our strong links with national and international industry partners inform the course curriculum and will open doors to exciting work-placement oppportunities.

During your time with us, you can collaborate on projects with other students specialising in a spectrum of arts and media disciplines. Plus you will receive instruction and guidance from our experienced and knowledgeable academic staff, including the Programme Leader, Bashir Aswat.

Information for international students

International applicants must also provide evidence of proficiency in English, in the form of IELTS 6.5 overall band score with no less than 5.5 in any band.
