Entry requirements

Relevant undergraduate degree, normally at 2:1 or above, and supporting portfolio of practice. Applicants with an undergraduate degree of 2:2 will be considered where a high quality portfolio of practice is presented. Applicants applying to the MA Fashion Innovation: Entrepreurship will be asked to provide a proposal of study in support of their application. Suitable For: Fashion design-trained applicants looking to enhance their careers and/or launch their own businesses, applicants from business, marketing and manufacturing backgrounds, who may be finding themselves increasingly involved in the fashion and wider creative sector, those who wish to pursue a change of career path. Due to the diversity of MA Fashion Innovation: Entrepreneurship and the related awards on this course, there is no typical applicant. We are interested in applicants who are committed to both leading in, and challenging, the fashion sector and related industries. This is demonstrable through your application statement, portfolio, accompanying documentation, or during your interview as appropriate. Where possible, we actively encourage potential applicants to visit us, meet staff and, whenever possible, our students. We feel that the suitability of potential applicant and course is a two way process of visiting and ensuring a thorough understanding of the possible outcomes is desirable in this respect. Applicant profile- Applicants will be able to demonstrate that they: have expertise in fashion or related subjects are highly motivated are are ready to work flexibly and independently. Applicants will be asked to provide a proposal of study in relationship to the award to which they apply.

Course Summary

This course will provide you with an excellent grounding in the business of fashion. You’ll receive an advanced theoretical and contemporary perspective on entrepreneurship, with real-world application to the fashion industry.

During your time with us, you’ll enjoy guidance from expert lecturers, tutors and industry specialists. Plus you’ll have the chance to share knowledge and collaborate with students across our Fashion Innovation courses.

This course is highly flexible and has a strong interdisciplinary ethos at its core.

Information for international students

International applicants must also provide evidence of proficiency in English, in the form of IELTS 6.5 overall band score with no less than 5.5 in any band.
