Entry requirements

Applications for this course must have a minimum of a second class undergraduate honours degree in a relevant discipline, or a minimum of a second class undergraduate honours degree in an unrelated discipline and significant relevant work experience within the built environment, or a recognised appropriate professional qualification such as RICS or CIOB. Suitable For: Applicants who want to learn the skills needed to manage change in fast-moving business and project environments. Typically, you’ll have an academic or professional background in construction, design, property, engineering or a management discipline. Applicant profile: This course is for you if you have a desire to enhance your current knowledge base and develop your career in the area of construction project management. You will have a strong academic and/or professional background in the built environment, enabling you to build on the experience you already have. Strong leadership skills and good knowledge of construction processes are a must.

Course Summary

This course will equip you with the knowledge and expertise needed to plan, organise, secure and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of projects to client’s expectations and satisfaction. It enables you to recognise the significance of process, technology and people to the success of projects; to more effectively lead, organise and plan projects; to analyse corporate practice and implement highly effective strategies for change.

This course is delivered at Colombo School of Construction Technology (CSCT), in Colombo, Sri Lanka and taught by academic staff from the University of Salford UK. The course offers the opportunity to work with local organisations within the construction sector in Sri Lanka and also give students the option to complete part of their studies in the UK. This course is fully accredited by the University of Salford.

Information for international students

English Language Requirements: International applicants will be required to show a proficiency in English. An IELTS score of 6.0 (no element below 5.5) is proof of this.
