Course content
The MSC in Computer and Automation Engineering aims at providing high-level competences for the design, management, development and innovation in the fields of advanced hardware and software architectures, and of control systems and robotics.
In particular, the program is focused on human-machine interaction in a wide sense, spanning topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, high performance processing of massive data collections, human-robot interfaces, and systems for production automation.
The program provides advanced competences in the area of computer and automation engineering.
Information for international students
The Master's graduate in C.A.E. can find jobs within industries, companies, financial institutions and research centres, whose R&D divisions carry out activities in the fields of information systems, industrial automation and robotics. Furthermore, the MSc in C.A.E. allows the students to access PhD programs in the areas of Information Engineering.
Fees and funding
The annual fee is divided into three installments, as follows:
- 1st instalment: fixed rate based on the type of degree course (humanities, science, EU regulated).
- 2nd instalment: calculated based on income.
- 3rd instalment: calculated based on merit.
The fee can also vary in the presence of any applicable benefits or exemptions.
Scholarships
Students enrolling at the University of Siena can apply for a DSU (Regional Body for the Right of University Studies) scholarship. The application is open until September/October of each year.
Scholarship assignees will receive a sum of money (covering University fees) and have free access to University canteens and free accommodation at halls of residence, if admitted. Should such accommodation not be available, assignees will be given a rent contribution, if requested.
