Course content

Dreamt of becoming a nurse and already hold a degree? This accelerated programme will give you the expertise needed to care for a broad range of adult clients in increasingly complex situations in hospital and in the community. The course is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), with whom you will be eligible to register.

The programme represents a rigorous combination of theoretical work in the classroom and practical experience in clinical and community settings. The main emphasis is on developing the higher-level skills of critical thinking, reasoning and analysis. You will also become experienced at making complex decisions, evaluating practice, coordinating care and acting as an advocate for service users.

This programme represents two-thirds of a masters degree. The outstanding third may be taken in future through a top-up course
