Entry requirements

A UK bachelor's degree with upper second-class honours or higher (or equivalent overseas qualification) in a subject with some element of quantitative study. Applicants with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.

English language requirements: Band 6C. IELTS 6.5 overall, with minimum 6.5 in reading and writing and 6.0 in listening and speaking. For information on other accepted English language tests, please see the website.

Learn how analytic techniques are applied in the financial sector on this MSc, which is one of just a few courses of its kind in the UK.

This masters course will teach you how to use modelling techniques to inform sound decision-making – crucial in today’s turbulent global economy. The MSc in Business Analytics and Finance is taught in conjunction with the Centre of Operational Research, Management Sciences and Information Systems (CORMSIS), bringing together expertise from the Business School, Mathematics and other disciplines.

A special feature of this innovative degree is the potential for a three-month industry-based summer project to boost your career prospects. Graduates have gone on to work for organisations such as the Bank of England, Home Credit China and the NHS.
