Course content

This Masters is an online two-year programme for education professionals seeking an innovative and flexible opportunity for study. Focusing on core elements of education: teaching practice, leadership and management and research, this programme aims to provide stepping-stones to senior professional roles in education.

This MSc Education is a part time online masters aimed at UK based teachers, trainers and education professionals who are looking for advancement into leadership roles within education organisations and whose personal circumstances, such as distance or family commitments, prevent them from attending traditional face-to-face classes.

This Masters in Education (Online) focuses on three core elements of education, which provide stepping-stones to senior professional roles in education: teaching practice, leadership and management and research; and their application in a range of different learning contexts.

The programme encourages you to critically reflect on your own practice, which helps you improve your teaching and acquaint you with new and emerging teaching practices. The leadership and management elements of the programme introduce you to the major theories, practices and issues surrounding the management of education; this helps you develop leadership skills as you transition into more senior roles and responsibilities.

Underlying both of these areas is research. The teaching draws on the most up to date research and theory to both support the learning process and to enhance your knowledge and understanding of education.
