Entry requirements

A UK bachelor’s degree with upper second-class honours or higher in a relevant discipline which must include some quantitative training, or an equivalent standard in other qualifications approved by the University.

Course content

Many prestigious organisations recruit our students because of the strong vocational training on this programme. You should be numerate, a good communicator with strong interpersonal skills, and enjoy problem-solving. A three-month project follows successful completion of the instructional component. The majority of projects involve either working on a placement or in partnership with a company or organisation.

Typical modules include: Deterministic Operational Research (OR) Methods; Presenting Reports; Problem Structuring; Data Analytics; Statistical Methods for OR Modelling; Stochastic OR Methods; Credit Scoring and Data Mining; Financial Portfolio Theory; Forecasting; Game Theory in Business; Nonlinear Optimisation; Project Management; Revenue Management; Data Visualisation Plus dissertation as three-month project

English language requirements: band 2C, IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in all components
