Course content
School Direct is a school-led teacher training route which allows schools, in partnership with an accredited teacher training provider, to recruit and select the trainees they want with the expectation that they will then go on to work within the school or group of schools in which they were trained (although there is no absolute guarantee of employment). Our School Direct courses are designed with our Partnership schools to suit their School Alliances and are based on the skills they are looking for in a newly qualified teacher (NQT).
Would you like to work with children and young people while preparing them for the future? Do you want to inspire the next generation and help them realise their ambitions? Do you want to work in a school setting from the very start of your PGCE year? Then apply for our School Direct (training) or (salaried) PGCE courses in either Primary or Secondary Education; designed with our Partnership schools to suit their School Alliances and based on the skills they are looking for in a newly qualified teacher. Make a difference in a student’s life and become a qualified teacher with the School Direct PGCE.
