Entry requirements

Applicants having completed a bachelor's degree in Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Southern Denmark have the right to admission to this master programme immediately after completion of the bachelor programme. Please be aware of that any legal claim for admittance, will cease to exist, if the applicant applies after the application deadline. Applicants with a similar bachelor’s degree if their academic qualifications correspond with the bachelor degrees mentioned above. Selection criteria for admission to the Master's programme take effect if, due to reasons of capacity, the University cannot admit all qualified applicants to a graduate programme.There are 45 seats available for this programme. Additional requirements may apply for the different profiles of the masters programme.

Course content

With a master degree in Mechatronics you will have a range of job opportunities – in Denmark and abroad. The degree qualifies you for work in the development of user-friendly products of the future – products that combine technologies such as mechatronics, electronics and software; in industrial companies, among others.

As part of the master programme you choose one of four profiles and specialise in your special field of interests.

Profile in Modelling and Control of Mechatronic Systems:

  • Thermodynamics
  • Mechanical design, statics, dynamics and 3D CAD
  • Digital Electronic
  • Programming

Profile in Power Electronics:

  • Power Electronics
  • Analog Electronics including project work
  • Digital Electronics
  • Programming

Profile in Embedded Control Systems:

  • Digital Design and micro controllers including project work
  • Embedded programming including project work
  • Analog Electronics

Profile in Micro- and Nanotechnology:

  • Thermodynamics
  • Analog Electronics including project work
  • Materials and Processes

Information for international students

International students can apply for accommodation through the university. Some rooms are on campus, others spreads across the city.
